My printer will not print on command. The ink containers seem to get stuck on the left end. I have to turn off the printer and then turn it on again to get it to print.

Buy new color and black HP only cartridges.

disconnect printer from computer
cancel documents in queue
if using a straight USB connection, delete all instances of printer. else remove duplicate printer icons.
reboot & reconnect printer (swap cables if not detected)
This will fix your problem.

I found this post to work for me when yellow was not printing on my HP PSC750 after using 2 cartridges: "Well if you want to damage your printer use alcohol. But if you want tomake it work then pull the cartridge from the printer and run hot wateron a couple of paper towels leaving alot of hot water in the towels.Put some thing under them to keep them from staining your counter topand then set the cartridge down onto the hotwater towel and let the hotwater melt away the dry ink and in minutes you may be printing again ifthis is what it is. Be sure and use a dry paper towel to wipe off theecess wet before you reinstall the cartridge."
