A close friend of mine is a computer professional and he recently "cleaned" my system. When I got it back everything was terrific except for the fact that my Dell A960 was now not working. I thought it was the printer, but it isn't. Everytime now when my computer starts up (or if it is restarted) an icon appears telling me "I have new hardware recognized." Then the new hardware wizard pops up to tell me that "there was a problem installing this hardware...your hardware (it displays the Dell A960) may not work properly." I have tried everything you can imagine from deleting all Dell printer files to reinstalling, to deleting the drivers and installing new drivers downloaded from the dell website...nothing seems to work! I'm not sure if this has something to do with it, but there are 2 applications from the A960 folder that I cannot delete because the computer says inan error message they are either "write protected or in use". These applications are:dlbfmcro.dllConvDIB.dllI go to task manager and these applpications are not in use. What the heck is going on??? Can someone please figure this out because I have a perfect printer here ready for use and I can't get it connected!!! Thanks.
