Had my LS-40 for a long time, was great, but now it will not pull the film strip in when I hand feed it. When I open the SA-21 and insert the film my hand, it will be auto rejected when I power up. Looks like the system is not sensing the entry of the film strip? Are there sensors in the SA-21 and how to I get to them? thanks, BMac

Put the film in after it is powered up. The unit needs to run through a power-up and calibrate cycle first. Once powered up, the until will feed the film in once it reaches a certain point into the machine.
The unit is supposed to kick the film back out when you close down the scanning software. If your film ever gets stuck try this to get it out. DO NOT force the SA-21 out of the machine with film stuck in it.
