Usually there are screws on the arm that hold the ribbon that can be adjusted to tighten up the ribbon as it feeds into the printhead area. (just make sure that it's flat and smooth when feeding into the printhead area)If it looks okay and is still causing problems you might need to adjust the roller that is under the printhead because sometimes it is at an angle to the printhead and the result is the wrinkles that you see. (On some models you can't adjust the platen roller and have to adjust the printhead instead but you get the idea of what is going on.) Good luck.

You may have to reload your ribbon, check to make sure that the ribbon core is attached correct. These printers have a core that goes on only one way, and may either damage the arm or take quite a bit of careful force to remove the core.
That said, look above the printhead. If you are running a narrow supply, you may with to relieve some printhead pressure by adjusting the screws above the ph. There are 2, and they have two positions. One position is for narrow web and the other is for wide. If adjusting the ribbon roller (one with the grooves) doesn't fix the issue, take a look at the pressure screws I just mentioned. It may take a combination of both to fix the issue, or even more if you have an issue with your core or take-up spool.
Good luck.
