I work at a copy center.  Are there health hazards from copy machine exhaust and the toner particles?

yes, the fumes ate toxic, that causes pulmpnary illness like TB or lung cancer, it just like smoking, have you notice there is some odor coming out in the fumes of copiers even in laserjets, toner s are resins made of plastics they are burn to fix on the papers,just try to wear protective mask to minimize the fumes ,

Unless you are cleaning the drums or in direct contact with toner dust there is little risk.   
However each toner should have an MSDS number on the side of the box, the information can be looked up on line.    Some are carcinogenic if inhaled, so when doing task where you are in direct contact with the toner your employer should be providing masks.

I am sure there are 800 numbers on the boxes of toners. You should be able to get MDDS sheets on them if they contain toxic items. If not, look on OHSA's website... or ask them a question.

yup!
msds (material safety data sheets)
will show you every toxin and what you can do to avoid them.
These data sheets are required on all chemicals in the workplace.
Do not add toner to your coffee if they are out of creamer!
