HPLJ 2420dn Duplex Printing Problems

I turned on the default "rint on Both Sides" option to enable duplex printing on my new 2420dn, but it now prints multiple copies of one-page documents back-to-back; when I request 10 copies of a single-page document, I get 5 duplexed copies. Is there another setting in the printer configuration to fix this?

Ifyou turn on the default print on both sides thats exactly what it will do.
You normally turn the setting on in the driver and then turn it off when your done rather than turn it on in the printer, if its on in the printer then every printout will be duplexed.

Thanks for responding. Perhaps I should have been clearer, though. I turned on the duplex option in the driver, as I have done for several other duplexing printers (HPLJ5N, HPColorLJ4600, HPColorLJ4650dtn), not on the actual printer itself. Only the 2420dn prints multiple one-page documents back-to-back; the others are printed single-sided. I have had success for years with those other printers using the same driver duplexing configuration. My only guesses are that I'm missing another new setting somewhere, or that the driver developers changed the logic on how the driver sends duplex jobs to a 2420. I'm still stuck with the same problem/inconsistency.
