Hi guys,
I have a clp with a few jobs needed doing, This is one that was given to me, It was printing fine but it runs out of toner(well the printer says its out)
First of all its saying the toners are all empty, I cant get it to reset usign the SDA to ground trick, I also cant print a configuaration page so I can get the hacked firmware so it will continue to print even when the count is exceeded.
So i had to bite the bullet and buy a few reset chips,
While thats coming, i need a little assist with my imaging unit, It all looks fine, no damage or any reports of bad prints.
Inside the imaging unit is a fuse in line with a 56ohm resistor, with 100k ohm resistor in parallel to that. There are only two pins.
Ive tested the 56ohm resistor on my meter and it doesnt appear to read it, might it be blown?
The fuse which is green and says 1/16Amp has no continuity either when tested with a meter.
What the best thing to do here, In my clp 500n i put a 100mA fast blow fuse in series with the resistor to reset my toner counters which worked fine, i had to put it in series as the printer did not like a dead short.
Any advice about what to put in the fuser, as the thing wont print regardless without the fuser?
thank you guys
