Any opinions on which brand is the best printer, copy, fax all in one machine to purchase?

Canon is the best, but usually also the most expensive.  Their all-in-ones are always very highly rated and have good customer feedback.  You can check out Amazon to see the positive feedback.  
I would stay away from Lexmark/Dell because even though their machines are cheaper, it's not worth the hassle. Plus, it will cost a lot when it's time to replace the ink cartridges, whereas with Canon at least you get individual color cartridges.  Epson can be hit or miss, depends on how much you pay.  Same with HP - their entry level models aren't that great but their have some more expensive ones that are pretty good.
A lot of entry level models aren't that good because they think people who buy them will only use them as printers and they won't care about the copying/scanning/faxing features.  Bottom line is if you are going to get an all-in-one, don't skimp.

Buy and HP product you'll be glad you did, and very happy with it's performance.

depends which is the most important function to you.
If its photos get a canon
If its mostly word & excel print outs in black then get an hp
If you don't care about quality and just want cheap, get lexmark
have fun :)
